Essential headwear for Downing Street staff

Following advice from the Health & Safety Executive, staff working in 10 Downing Street are being issued with special protective headwear.

A spokesman for the Prime Minister said that "Gordon Brown takes the personal safety of his staff very seriously."

He continued, "and the Prime Minister is confident that this should quash any rumours about bullying taking place if they know what's good for them."
